MAD checks whether the device has appropriate screen lock mechanisms configured, such as a password, PIN, unlock pattern, or biometric authentication. The absence of these basic protection mechanisms indicates a less secure environment in which unauthorized physical access to the device can occur without any barrier, exposing the application and the data stored locally.
Technical Mechanism: MAD assesses the security state of the device's lock screen to identify whether a protection mechanism is effectively enabled. Devices without a configured screen lock, in cases of loss or theft, allow unrestricted access to the application's information. When this scenario is identified, MAD applies the configured protection policies and records the event in the Command Center, reinforcing protection against misuse.
